· ASCPA fiscal year is May 1 - April 30

· April 22 - dues notices will be emailed/mailed

· May 1 - membership renewals due

· July 31 - dues are delinquent

· August 1 -late fee of $25 added

Member Categories

Full Members- (includes all types: public, industry, etc.)
Persons who are bona fide holders of valid and unrevoked certificates as Certified Public Accountants issued by the Alabama State Board of Public Accountancy or who are a bona fide holder of a valid and unrevoked certificate issued by another state (or jurisdiction) Board of Public Accountancy. Members enjoy all rights and privileges of the organization.

Associate Members
Persons who are actively pursuing sitting for the Uniform Certified Public Accountant exam. Associate members have no voting privileges; are not eligible to hold any office in the Society; and are not subject to Articles 2.7.3 and 2.8 of the By-Laws.

Student Members
Persons who are enrolled at an accredited college or university, have attained junior standing and beyond, and have a declared major in accounting, or are taking a concentration in accounting.

New members may take advantage of prorated fees (see the schedule below), according to the month of application. A one-time application fee of $25 is required (except students), including during prorated months.
