Many ASCPA members are committed to promoting financial literacy by helping individuals understand their personal finances and develop money management skills. The ASCPA proudly supports a variety of financial education efforts that provide Alabama communities with increased financial knowledge and resources.

Central Alabama Financial Education Coalition – The Society is a charter member of this organization. CAFEC sponsors an annual financial education train-the-trainer summit, a quarterly breakfast series, has a presence on Facebook and hosts a website. Visit them at www.mymoneysmarts.org |

TAX HOTLINES – Our most visible public service, TV stations throughout the state partner with Society members for live phone banks each February. Areas participating include Montgomery, Mobile, Birmingham and Huntsville. |

DOLLAR$ AND SENSE, Classroom Blitz – The Alabama Young CPAs partner with the AL Dept of Education to bring the message of financial education coupled with a heightened awareness of accounting careers. This high school program pairs schools and YCPA volunteers on a single day each November. Each year over thousands of high school students are reached at high schools throughout the state. |
